What is See My Skills?
See My Skills is a passionate and dynamic social enterprise on a mission to foster a more inclusive global workplace.
They have one simple but powerful core belief: “Do the right thing.” They are committed to addressing a pressing global issue – the disproportionately high unemployment rates among people with disabilities. They have a vision to create a world where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive and succeed, regardless of their unique challenges.

“We recognize that this disparity arises from several key factors. Many employers lack an understanding of the unique hurdles faced by people with disabilities. Additionally, there is a lack of coaching and mentorship available to support their early career development.
Through thorough research, we have identified that teenagers with disabilities do not engage in part-time employment to the same extent as their peers who don’t have a disability. Consequently, they may not possess the necessary skills to navigate common workplace challenges, such as receiving feedback, handling criticism, and managing professional interactions. Early intervention is paramount. By equipping teens with workplace skills and experiences from an early age, we empower them to face these challenges with confidence, paving the way for successful employment in the future”
Programmes
Accelerator Programme
The Accelerator School Programme is tailor-made for secondary school students. This off-campus development program spans four days and covers essential areas such as communication, goal setting, time management, mock interviews, CV writing, and even barista training . At See My Skills, they target students who share a common vision of developing their own lives independently, regardless of the challenges they may face.
Empowered Programme
In addition to the Accelerator School Programme, they have successfully launched the Empowered Programme in September 2023 . This programme is designed to empower individuals with disabilities to nurture ambition and achieve their true potential. It showcases unique abilities and helps individuals find meaningful employment opportunities. The Empowered Programme provides
support to adults on a one-to-one basis.

See My Skills supports people with disabilities by tackling Ireland’s low employment rates through their Accelerator Programme for students and Empowered Programme for adults, providing tailored support to unlock meaningful career opportunities.
